I have already set my New Years Resolutions for some aspects of my life but not for all. I normally try and set myself achievable goals but this year I’m pushing the boat out and setting myself a mammoth challenge. This year for me is all about taking control over my life and changing it for the good. As a busy mum, we often find ourselves forgetting about our own wellbeing and health and next year is all about addressing these and more. So let’s see what New Years Resolutions I have set myself.
New Years Resolutions
Weight Loss and Wellbeing
If you read my previous post you will know its all about losing weight and looking after my own wellbeing and mental health. As a now 41 years old who is carrying a few extra pounds, I now see this as the stage where I need to address it for my own confidence and health. I’m not getting any younger so now is a good time as any.
As I work from home I never seem to escape the 4 walls for a good enough period to feel refreshed. This year I plan on making myself go out more be it a coffee with a friend, a walk or even a trip into town. Working from home itself can cause some isolation issues and you feel all you do is look at a computer and talk to online friends who have similar careers to break your day up. By implementing these small changes I’m sure it will reflect in my overall mood and more positively on my work.
Now more than ever I appreciate my family and how lucky I am to have them. This year I want to create some amazing memories for us all. I want to do more with my family and also spend more time visiting relatives.
We do always go on a family holiday but between one summer to the other, we never get away. This year I’m going to make an effort to go on another trip probably around Easter. It doesn’t have to be an expensive trip just another time where we can get away and enjoy each others company but also explore as well.
Have you guys set yourself any New Year Resolutions?
