Its 5 days pre Christmas and I’m already thinking about my pact with myself for the New Year. My goal for next year is to get back into training and lose weight until I reach a healthy BMI and I’m happy with how I look. This is also the main aim of creating this space to share my experiences and also create a sort of online diary of how I get on including the highs and the lows. Today I’m talking about my Weight Loss Goals and how I plan on achieving my end aim.
Weight Loss Goals
Until I had my younger children I was always a small size 12. At the height of 5ft10, I looked slim and I was very happy with my weight and body even if it did have a few tiger stripes from previous pregnancies. I found that since having the smalls I have struggled weight wise. I’m definitely no longer in my size 12’s and have crept up to a large 14. My love affair with food increased more so since the little ones started school and I started blogging. Gone were the days of hitting the gym for a break and a workout. Now my days revolve around writing and eating out. To look at me you would say there is nothing wrong with me but…. it’s always about how the person feels themselves that’s important.
I belong to my local gym which has a pool and creche facilities. Since my other blog has taken off my time in the gym has taken a massive tumble. Gone are the days I had a PT session once a week and trained another 2/3 times. My goal is to get back into weight training 2/3 times a week when possible and if I cant get to the gym a long walk or some home training.
I’m very much a foodie and I adore nothing better than going out for a beautiful meal. I’m also a muncher I can very easily demolish a large bag of crisps and some just watching tv come evening. The only way this is going to work for me is if I adjust my eating habits and go back to eating relatively healthy. This will require a fair amount of prep on my part. From previous experience, if I don’t have something healthy in I will grab the sugary stuff.
As I mentioned above my end goal is to reduce my weight and BMI but also my eating habits and routines. As a lady who is 41 it’s paramount that I start to look after my body well. In turn, I hope it gives me more energy as well.
